
Josh Centor
After joining the NCAA staff in June 2005, Josh helped develop the Double-A Zone, the Association’s first Weblog, which launched in November. Josh was named NCAA coordinator of new media communications in April.
Since the Double-A Zone’s inception, Josh has helped develop a number of features, including Mondays With Myles, a weekly podcast conversation with NCAA President Myles Brand; Faces of the NCAA, frequent discussions with national office staff members; Coaches’ Corner, regular posts from college coaches across the country; Morning Coffee, a look around the world of intercollegiate athletics each morning; and student-athlete guest posts, which provide a voice for the Association’s most critical members.
Prior to his arrival in Indianapolis, Josh served as the sports information director for nine teams at Boston College. His responsibilities included the production of numerous media guides, Web site maintenance and assisting in the dissemination of information to the media. Josh is a 2004 graduate of Brandeis University, where he majored in economics, minored in international business and played four years of varsity baseball.
As a student-athlete, Josh was a three-time recipient of University Athletic Association all-Academic Honors and also received Brandeis’ Morris Sepinuck Sportsmanship Award, presented annually to the senior varsity athlete who displays outstanding sportsmanship and also makes a significant contribution to the athletics program and overall campus life. Josh was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree.
Josh was selected to serve on the NCAA Division III Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as a representative of the UAA. He also served as a member of the NCAA Student-Athlete Reinstatement Committee.
He is currently a candidate for a master’s degree in applied communications at Indiana University.
