YES Clinics bring coaches, student-athletes and kids together - | 13:42:20

I attended the Youth Education through Sports (YES) Program, the NCAA's premier outreach to youth across the country. Kids (age 10 to 16) received sport skill instruction from NCAA coaches and student-athletes, gained conditioning tips, and learned life skills and sportsmanship.

The clinics include sessions for parents/guardians to discuss issues of sportsmanship, wellness, injury prevention, NCAA academic and athletics.

I interviewed Ray McCallum, the head coach for the men's basketball team at the University of Detroit Mercy. His team was volunteering at the clinic.

Watch a slideshow and the interview:

It means that two very good teams with very good coaches made it to the final game.
