The biggest problem in athletics administration is the fact that the system keeps perpetuating itself. Very few opportunities for true experience in admin are available outside of academic support for people of color. Additionally, the biggest detriment to "hiring" lies with the presidents and alumni/booster leadership. The community that will support a football program or an athletics administration that has an African-American does not exist in this country. Who spends the money on these programs? Who asks for the money? Who has confidence that people can be trusted with their money? Typical answer to that question is "someone who looks, lives, and has a comparable value system to me." That goes for HBCU's as well, however, they are even more inclined to hire majority rather than minority administration. Perplexing problem.

It means that two very good teams with very good coaches made it to the final game.
