In a recent interview new NCAA Intern, Howard Smith, sat down with Rich Erdelyi, varsity golf coach at Carnegie Mellon University. Erdelyi is entering his 24th year at the Division III institution, serving as both the offensive coordinator of the football team and the head men's golf coach. Erdelyi discussed various issues, including his stance on academics, the University Athletic Association, the football program's success, and his relationship with his former player, Dan Marino.
