Mondays With Myles: Conversations With NCAA President Return -
posted by: Josh

After a summer hiatus, Mondays With Myles returns in full force with this morning’s podcast.

In our last conversation, Dr. Brand asked listeners to submit questions so that he and the Double-A Zone can serve as more of a resource for the passionate folks who love intercollegiate athletics.

Last month, I received five questions from Orson Swindle at EDSBS, a college football blog. Orson wanted to hear from Dr. Brand on a variety of hot button issues, including the mascot situation at North Dakota, Notre Dame football player Tom Zbikowski and his professional boxing career and whether or not the NCAA’s academic reform initiatives are making an impact. We addressed those questions in our return to the airwaves this morning.

I’d like to thank Orson for submitting these questions and hope that others follow suit. I will ask Dr. Brand your questions, and this is a great chance to hear from the president of the NCAA. He’s accessible, so take advantage of it.

There are a lot of exciting things happening in the world of intercollegiate athletics, and we will make sure to discuss them each week on Mondays With Myles.

Josh, North Dakota doesn't have a mascot, they only use Fighting Sioux as a logo and team name. Nobody in a funky getup tossing flaming spears into the turf of the Alerus Center.
