Welcome to the Double-A Zone!!! This blog will feature an inside look at NCAA issues and all things student-athlete.
Athletics and Academics are both central to the mission of the NCAA. This blog is all about that connection, told through our own stories and collegiate experiences.
The blog will be run by me, Josh Centor, an intern who came to the NCAA after working at Division I Boston College (Go Eagles!) During my undergraduate years, I was a four-year baseball student-athlete at Brandeis University, a Division III institution just outside of Boston.
I will be working with a diverse team of NCAA interns who will be the Double-A Zone’s main bloggers. Many of the interns are recent college graduates and former student-athletes, while others have found their way to the Association through pure passion for the world of intercollegiate athletics and its importance to the more than 360,000 NCAA student-athletes .
The blog will offer our many thoughts and opinions, which for the record, may or may not be in agreement with official NCAA policy. Given that as a group, we interns aren’t too far removed from college and intercollegiate athletics, our hope is to add the voice of students and student-athletes to the debate on issues affecting the NCAA.
Our goal is to get people talking about the issues facing intercollegiate athletics. Comments will be allowed soon, and we look forward to getting your take.
Thanks for stopping by. We hope you’ll link to us, add us to your RSS feeds and blogrolls, and share your thoughts and ideas as we go along.
